Tired of shaving every few days, waxing appointments, or ingrown hairs? Laser hair removal (also called laser hair reduction) is one of the most popular cosmetic treatments in Ahmedabad, and for good reason. But if you have never had it done, it is natural to have questions. How does it work? Does it hurt? How many sessions will you need?
Silk Skin Laser Cosmetology Clinic have been offering laser skin treatments in Ahmedabad ,Gujarat since 1999. This guide covers what you should know before you book your first session.
Laser hair removal uses a concentrated beam of light that targets the pigment (melanin) in your hair follicles. The follicle absorbs the light energy as heat, which damages it and slows down future hair growth. The result is a significant, long-term reduction in hair. That is why the treatment is correctly called laser hair reduction. Some fine hair may remain or return over time, but it is usually much lighter, thinner and sparser than before.
Hair grows in cycles, and the laser works best on hair in the active growth phase. Since only a portion of your hair is in that phase at any one time, you need multiple sessions to treat all of it.
Most people need around 6 to 8 sessions, though this varies from person to person.
Sessions are usually spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart, depending on the body area.
Your skin specialist will assess your hair type, skin type and hormonal factors to give you a realistic plan.
Be cautious of any clinic that promises permanent, guaranteed removal in just one or two sessions.
Laser hair reduction can be done on almost any part of the body, including:
Face (upper lip, chin, cheeks, forehead)
Underarms
Arms and legs
Chest, back and abdomen
Bikini line
Full body
Most people describe the sensation as a quick snap or a warm pinprick. Discomfort varies by body area and individual pain tolerance. Sensitive areas such as the upper lip and bikini line can feel a bit more intense. Modern laser machines with built-in cooling help make the treatment more comfortable, and each session is usually quick, from a few minutes for small areas to under an hour for larger ones.
This is one of the most important questions to ask. Indian skin tones generally have more melanin, and since the laser targets pigment, choose a center using a standard usFDA approved technology and experienced professional.
When performed correctly, even small doses will give satisfactory results without damaging the skin.

At Silk Skin, safety comes first. We use modern equipment from around the world, and every treatment plan starts with a proper assessment of your skin.
A little preparation makes a big difference to your results and your skin's safety.
1. Avoid sun exposure and tanning. Stay out of direct sun and avoid tanning for a few weeks before treatment. Use sunscreen on exposed areas.
2. Shave the area 1 to 2 days before. The laser needs the hair root intact, so do not wax, thread, tweeze or use epilators in the weeks before your session. Shaving is fine.
3. Skip creams and lotions on the day. Come with clean, dry skin.
4. Tell your doctor about your health. Mention any medications, skin conditions, hormonal issues (such as PCOS), or a tendency to scar.
5. Ask questions. A good clinic will happily explain the process, cost and expected results.
You will first have a consultation, followed by cleaning the area and, if needed, a patch test. The specialist will protect your eyes with goggles and apply the laser in small sections. When finished, your skin may be soothed with a cooling gel. You can usually return to your normal routine right away.
Treated skin can be slightly red or feel like mild sunburn for a few hours. To care for it:
Avoid direct sun exposure and always use sunscreen
Skip hot showers, saunas, steam rooms and intense workouts for 24 to 48 hours
Avoid scrubbing, waxing or harsh products on the area
Moisturise gently
Do not pick at the skin
You may notice shedding of treated hair over the following days to two weeks. This is normal and a sign the treatment is working.
When performed correctly, laser hair removal is considered safe. Common, temporary side effects include redness, mild swelling and slight sensitivity. Rarely, blistering, pigmentation changes or scarring can occur, which is why choosing an experienced clinic matters so much.
| Laser Hair Reduction | Waxing / Shaving | |

Fibropen is a device for face lift.
It is a intra dermal radiofrequency unit. We use fibropen for deep lines, non surgical face lift, double chin reduction, deep pimples scars, accident scars.
Fibropen has a needle (like a spinal needle), with help of that we can deliver a radiofrequency deep in the skin.
When radiofrequency is deposited below the skin, it produce exothermic reaction – meaning it is a catalyst for heat production within the body. In fact, the skin can heat up to 38–40 degrees during radiofrequency treatments. This has many physiological effects on the dermis, the primary being tightening, firming and brightening, and this is because the thermal reaction causes the contraction of collagen in the short term and collagen synthesis in the long term, tightening the underlying skin structures without damaging the top layer. It is particularly effective on areas that commonly suffer from skin laxity such as the brows, jowls, jaw and neck, ensuring skin looks lifted even after just one treatment.
One session tend to last between 40 to 60 minutes and may require a topical anaesthetic cream.
The radiofrequency converts to thermal energy and creates small “injuries” to the lower levels of the skin that prompt particular tissue repair and clotting. It is safe for all skin types due to the minimal damage and melanin changes.
The effects of fibropen treatment will continue to improve over the next few months as the skin produces new collagen. Results typically last for a minimum of six months, although with ongoing treatments, results are often long-lasting.
Family history (heredity). The most common cause of hair loss is a hereditary condition that happens with aging Hormonal changes and medical conditions Medications and supplements Radiation therapy to the head Stress Hairstyles and excessive parlour treatments.
1. Medication
2. Mesotherapy
3. Prp Treatment For Hair Growth
Mesotherapy is a technique that uses injections of vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and plant extracts to skin. We have a seprate machine for hair growth with which we inject growth factors and hair stimulants into the skin.
During a prp session, a technician draws blood, usually from a patient’s arm. He or she will then spin the blood to extract plasma. Plasma is a substance found in the blood that contains platelets and growth factors, which promote hair growth. The doctor injects the plasma into areas on the scalp affected by hair loss — usually about 15 to 20 injections per prp session.
Prp doesn’t deliver results immediately, so you shouldn’t expect to see a full head of hair overnight. You’ll likely need three monthly sessions followed by an appointment four to six months later, and then yearly maintenance sessions after that. The exact schedule of your treatment plan will depend on a few factors, including the amount of hair loss you’re dealing with, as well as your age, hormones, and genetic makeup.
During laser hair reduction, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.
When it comes to removing unwanted hair, laser treatment is the best method. It's a long-term solution that's far less painful than waxing. If you're prone to ingrown hairs, it's the only method you should choose, as it completely destroys the hair follicle.
